Film and Theatre

The Defenders (2023) is a documentary about Hakeem al-Araibi, Bahraini footballer turned refugee, and the viral campaign to save his life from extradition. I translated Hakeem’s language between Arabic and English.

CARE by Henry Wolff (2021) is a a short film exploring the complexities of human connection and the forces that bind us together. I wrote the poetry and performed in the film.

جُمْعَة Jumu'ah (Friday Prayers) (2019-21) is a theatre in education piece exploring the daily lives of three Muslim Australians. I co-wrote the script with Manal Younus.
